Cocktail Hour: The Weekend
This a recipe for a light cocktail that’s best enjoyed outdoors during the summer. We created this cocktail for Friday evenings after work, during cocktail hour, on our balcony. I’d say it’s best to have it with a side of your favorite salty snack because cocktail hour requires snacks, of course.
One sunny, post-work Friday evening, we decided to have cocktails on the balcony and suddenly “cocktail hour” at our apartment was born. We called this drink The Weekend because it came to be on a Friday night. Time to enjoy the next two days off of work.
I’m a fan of light flavors, salty everything, and a hint of citrus. This drink combines all of that with a slight nod to a margarita, but not quite. It’s clean with minimal ingredients and is easily adapted based on personal preference. No limes in the fridge? Use an orange instead. ;)
