The Market
Welcome!
When it comes to pantry staples, baking necessities, and the ever-important snack drawer, I have a very discerning eye (and palate). This Market is a way of sharing my kitchen with you!
When I determine that a new product is worthy of a recurring spot in my kitchen, then that product will in turn become an addition to The Market. It’s that simple.
What will you find here?
Products we use daily for cooking, must-haves for baking, and those snacks that frequently find their way into our shopping cart...
Please know that this post contains affiliate links. If you make a purchase from one of these links, I may make a small commission. I firmly believe in only sharing products I use in my own kitchen and would recommend to others to use/enjoy as well.
All items are gluten free, of course. :)
Let’s shop!
Cooking
Against the Grain Gourmet Gluten Free Pizza Crusts. One of our favorite GF crusts! A necessity to keep in the freezer. Simply top the frozen crust with your favorite toppings and bake to pizza perfection. Their three-cheese crust has cheese baked into the crust. Yum.
Against the Grain Gourmet Gluten-Free Lebanese-Style Pita Bread. A recent find that’s sweeping our kitchen! Pita “bread” that’s grain-free and perfect for making sandwiches, mini-size pizzas, pita chips, and more. So glad I found this product; they’re going to be a constant in our freezer (or fridge) from now on.
Aleia’s Gluten Free Foods Panko and Breadcrumbs. The best breadcrumbs! We use these frequently whenever a recipe calls for them. And the panko is incredible for making the crispiest fried fish, chicken tenders, or the topping on baked scallops.
California Olive Ranch Olive Oil. Because we use it for basically everything. Eggs in the morning, sautéeing at night. It’s all-purpose and excellent.
Fage Greek Yogurt. A no-brainer when it comes to making yogurt-sauces and substituting sour cream. Make sure to buy the 5% (full-fat) option.
Jovial Foods Gluten Free Pasta. This is the gold standard for GF pasta in my opinion. We keep plenty available at all times in various shapes. I love the capellini for scampi, the elbows for mac-and-cheese, and the farfalle for that fan-favorite, sausage and kale pasta.
Jovial Foods Organic Chickpeas. Excellent quality chickpeas that are essential in some many of our favorite meals. Perfect for making hummus, crisping to go on salads or as part of a grain bowl.
Kerrygold Unsalted Butter. I could offer a million options for this fridge staple, but I do keep a stock of this unsalted butter, always.
Kikkoman Tamari. This is gluten free soy sauce and we use it in place of the regular stuff. Same flavor. Same uses. Enough said.
Maldon Sea Salt. Flakey salt that’s great to enhance our food and to garnish a cookie. We buy it in the largest container available.
Plugra Butter. European Style. Salted and Unsalted. It’s just so good! Worth the splurge.
Rao’s Homemade Tomato Sauce. We often prefer to make our own sauce from scratch, but in the event we need a sauce ASAP, then we often turn to this brand. It’s delicious and simple; we love the tomato basil marinara.
Siete Foods Cassava Flour Tortillas. Another great choice for tacos and any other type of wrap. These are grain-free and can be heated in the microwave or heated stovetop in a dry cast-iron skillet. This brand makes numerous, fantastic GF products.
Spectrum Naturals Unrefined Toasted Sesame Oil. This flavorful oil amplifies our stir-fries and makes the kitchen smell incredible.
Teddie All Natural Peanut Butter. This locally-made peanut butter is perfect for any number of uses include sauces, snacking, spreading on rice cakes (or GF bread), and more. The toughest question will always remain: smooth or chunky?
Thai Kitchen Gluten Free Stir Fry Rice Noodles. Ever notice how we don’t shy away from noodle-based dishes? That’s because we’ve got these on-hand at all times. Perfect for all of our “Udon” needs! This brand offers several GF noodle options, too.
Zeia Foods Gluten Free Pizza Crust. Another favorite GF (and vegan) crust brand made locally in NH. These crusts have incredible flavor and crisp beautifully in the oven. Even when heartily topped (I like extra of everything), the crust is crispy and excellent. Top them when frozen and place it directly into the oven.
Baking
Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour. My go-to for any and all flour needs. Baking cookies, baking cakes, coating chicken, making a roux, this flour is gluten free and does it all. And your guests will never know the difference.
Domino-brand Pure Cane White and Brown Sugar. A classic that is perfect for baking. It’s inexpensive, too, which is a bonus.
Guittard Chocolate Baking Bars/Discs/Chips. My preferred brand of chocolate for making cookies and anything that requires the good stuff. I chop the bars for the “puddle” effect in cookies, discs for when we want big bites of chocolate, and chips for when we’re feeling more traditional. You really can’t go wrong! Best part? They’re available in varying percentages of cocoa.
King Arthur Measure for Measure Gluten Free Flour. When I’m running low on my other favorite (see above), then I make sure to have a bag of this excellent 1:1 flour on hand as well. The price point is lower than Cup4Cup, but the quality is still excellent. I have used this flour in making baking recipes and the goodies have turned out perfect.
India Tree Demerara Sugar. Using this “sugar in the raw” has become frequent as it’s great in cookies and is the crispy edge on the Internet’s favorite shortbread. Buy it now. Enjoy it over and over again.
Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. I figure it’s important to buy high-quality vanilla when you’re making high-quality cookies. Don’t you agree? This stuff is excellent.
Snacking/pantry
Cape Cod All-Natural Potato Chips. There are many options out there for salty, crunchy potato chips, but the classic Cape Cod variety really hit the spot. Plus, there are so many flavors! These work well for crumbling into cookies, too. ;)
Feel Good Foods (various products). This company makes gluten free goodies that live in your freezer, but come to life within minutes and can instantly brighten your food mood (I love them for lunch, snack, dinner, and cocktail hour). Their egg rolls, snack bites, potstickers, and (new) mac+cheese bites(!!) are all amazing, and I happily keep a supply on-hand all of the time. I love the vegetarian options as well as the ones with meat. You can’t go wrong with any product from this great brand. All offerings are gluten free, non-GMO, and made with real, excellent ingredients. It’s freezer food you can feel good about. ;)
Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs. What can I say? Slightly skeptical upon eating my first vegan “Cheeto,” I was quickly hooked and am now a big fan of the white cheddar flavor (and all others).
Kettle-Brand Potato Chips. Another excellent choice for when you just need that salty crunch. Many flavors available including dill pickle (it’s good!) and sour cream and onion (a must-buy).
Late July Thin & Crispy Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips - No doubt my favorite snack to have on Friday afternoon during our “hello, weekend” cocktail hour. The flavor is perfect and they’re just so crispy! The texture is excellent; this brand really knows how to make an amazing potato chip. Other flavors available, but I love this one!
Lesser Evil Snacks Paleo Puffs “No Cheese” Cheesiness. A new find (for me) that satisfies my constant cravings for salty, crunchy, and cheesy snacks. The joy is that they’re organic and vegan so there are no funny ingredients; and much healthier than many alternatives out there. Also, the popcorn from this same company is delicious.
Mi Nina Tortilla Chips. Locally made near Boston, we love this family-owned chip company that makes awesome tortilla chips with minimal ingredients. Perfect for nachos, salsa, and more.
Onesto Foods Hand-crafted crackers – These gluten free crackers are scrumptious! I love having them with cheese or charcuterie, but they’re crunchy goodness is excellent on its own, right from the box. They are also vegan and non-GMO. My favorite flavor is Everything, with Rosemary coming in a close second. These crackers are a great gift, too! Just add a block of cheddar, some fruit, and you’re good-to-go! Enhance the gift basket with a bottle of wine – why not?
Perfection Snacks Snack Mix. Have you been searching for the gluten free version of that old classic “party mix” and haven’t had any luck? Well! Today’s the day. I found this miracle at the grocery store the other day and am officially hooked. Certified gluten free and certifiably awesome, this snack mix (party mix, in my opinion) includes GF pretzels, cheese curls, tortilla chips, and bread sticks. It’s delicious, amazing, and as perfect as I’d hoped it would be.
Quinn’s Gluten Free Pretzels/Rods. Simply put, these are delicious and are my latest favorite snack to keep in my desk at work. The regular pretzels are great as well as the rye-style rods. They also make a peanut-butter-stuffed option.
The Safe and Fair Food Company (multiple products) – I saw a review of these goodies on Instagram and immediately ordered a giant sampler pack of almost every single product! Consider me influenced. I love these snacks because they’re allergen-friendly and made with clean ingredients, plus they are affordable (sometimes GF snacks can be pricey). You can shop by allergen and/or diet on the website, which makes it incredibly easy to find all of the delicious gluten free treats. My favorites include the Birthday Cake Drizzle Popcorn, Hickory BBQ Pea Protein Chips, and the Olive Oil & Sea Salt Popcorn Quinoa Chips. And to be fair, the Birthday Cake Granola is ridiculously good, too. It would be perfect on top of ice cream!
Saffron Road Lentil Chips. Perfect as a pita chip replacement and much healthier! We buy the classic flavor when we’re using them to dip into (Party) hummus.
Siete Foods Cassava Flour Tortillas. Grain-free tortillas that are perfect for breakfast tacos, dinner tostadas, and everything in-between. They offer other styles made with almond and cashew flour, but we have been really pleased with the Cassava variety!
Siete Foods Grain-Free Tortilla Chips. Equally delicious to the tortillas, these crunchy chips are available in many flavors - we love the lime - and the hardest part is not eating the whole bag in one sitting. Let’s be real: that happens!
Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers. So many flavors to choose from and they are all excellent. Right now I’m loving the Cracked Pepper and Sun-Dried Tomato Basil. Their Sprouted Seed crackers are excellent, too.
Tate’s Bake Shop Gluten Free Cookies. For the most part I bake all of our cookies, but in the rare instance we just need some now, then Tate’s are an excellent option. Thin and crispy cookies - we always easily eat half the bag.
Toufayan Gluten Free All Natural Vegan Pita Chips. When you want the real thing for that bowl of hummus, look no further than these chips. Too delicious!
Vermont Smoke & Cure Pork Meat Sticks. Yes, it’s a meat stick. But it’s delicious and a quick dose of protein for on-the-go needs. Cute packaging, too. This company offers plenty of GF products - delicious pepperoni. ;)
Waku Plant-Based Tonic – the latest addition to my very-selective collection of non-water beverages. I love this caffeine-free tonic post-workout the most or with my lunch during the work week. It’s all-natural, non-carbonated, vegan, and promotes a healthy gut (I love the anti-inflammatory properties). With 6 flavors to choose from, it will be hard to pick a favorite! My usual is the berries and basil, but every single flavor is delicious in its own way.
Keep Shopping…
Considering a new cookbook or kitchen tool? Check out the gift guides! Here is the first one, and this one is from 2019. Don’t worry, a new one will be out in time for December. ;) However, it doesn’t need to be December to find a great gift - even for yourself!
